Success Story : Craig & Georgi Rand

My wife has already touched on part of my story. I followed the typical up and down cycles of weight management systems, fad diets, health club memberships, etc…without really finding a permanent solution for a healthy lifestyle that I could realistically maintain. My frustration and cynicism was part of the reason that I was skeptical when she first got involved with K-Star on her own. In hindsight, we both agree that my passive lack of support was a key factor in her "failed" first experience with K-Star.

I turned 55 years old in early 2008, and my sedentary lifestyle was starting to catch up with me. I had been on blood pressure medication for over 10 years, my acid reflux experiences were becoming more frequent, my waistline was continuing to expand, and my snoring was becoming more than just an annoying habit to my wife.

After some thoughtful assessment of our situation, both my wife and I came to the conclusion that our overall health had to become our top priority. As a result, in April of 2008 we began attending K-Star group classes together

In just six months, I can report the following physical results; I have been completely off my blood pressure medicine for 3 months. I have not experienced any reflux episodes in over 4 months. I have seen marked improvement in all of my vital medical statistics (cholesterol, body fat, glucose levels, etc…) as confirmed by a recent health screening evaluation. I have lost 30 pounds in total weight. I am down from a tight 38 waist pant size to a "loose 36", and headed lower. Most amazing to me, I am no longer a snorer.

The intangible benefits I have realized from K-Star are just as significant, if not more important. The group environment makes the sessions both motivating and fun. The mix of cardio and strength training, combined with a "station" format makes each workout unique, and maximizes the benefits for the time spent. Ron and Mary are a wealth of information relating to health issues, and go to great lengths to provide individualized attention to each person based on their specific needs and physical condition.

For two people who would never be considered physical fitness nuts, we have made K-Star a part of our regular routine four times a week. The sense of accomplishment we feel with the results we have seen so far is almost as satisfying as the physical changes. It has also made us realize the importance of what we are doing for ourselves, and given us the confidence that we can make it a permanent part of our lifestyle. We are certainly good examples of it never being too late to get started, and that K-Star can change your attitude about "working-out"!
