Success Story : Darrel Saperstein

"In the past I was one of the lucky few to participate in what was known as the W.O.W. (Work Out To Win) contest. While there were others involved in our training K Star Fitness was pivotal in making the changes to our bodies, both physically & metabolically. Working out at K Star was like going back to military boot camp and getting my butt kicked each and every time I walked in the door.

In the beginning Ron and Mary where the drill sergeants that put you through your daily physical training; each and every time during the first half of boot camp the sergeants worked you out till you thought your heart would explode in your chest and you were ready to call them every dirty name in the book. By the time you were half way through the program is when the body started not to hate the sergeants; rather, it was the time you were asking for more, pushing yourself harder and realizing that the hell you were being put through was making you a better person. This is what my experience with Ron and Mary was like.

In the beginning while spinning with Mary there were times I wanted to curse her out and walk out of the gym because she was pushing so hard. Like boot camp she was only making us stronger and pushing us beyond what we thought we were capable of. By the time I got to the half way point in the K Star program, like boot camp, my body was not counting the minutes till the training session was over; rather, it was pushing its self harder and faster to get the blood pressure up for longer periods of time. Mary and Ron would challenge us to do better and that's what I tried to do every time I got on the spinning cycles.

As for the weight training, what can you say. When you first walk in you see these non conventional machines lined up against the wall and think to yourself, how are these things going to build muscle and make me stronger. As a forty-two year old guy that has been working out since the age of thirteen I can attest first hand that their state of the art equipment will ease any novice into resistance training or make any guy that has worked out with conventional weights appreciate their equipment and training style.

In a nut shell, for the short time I was trained by Ron and Mary I lost weight, lost body fat, increased muscle mass and increased my metabolism, not to mention that they taught me how to eat better and smarter."

There you have it Ron. I don't know if you can use it but that's how I feel and still appreciate what the two of you did for the group.
